06 Feb St. George in Film | Utah Photographer
We took a little weekender to St. George with some friends to escape the ever dreary, cold, brown and sans-snow Salt Lake City. It was bliss. I now want to pick up our house, jobs and school and transport it to warmer weather.
All I took was a new-to-me medium format film camera (Mamyia 645 Pro TL). No digital. It was the first time I shot with this camera. I made a million and one mistakes. But I’m glad I only gave myself that one option. Because next time, I know what to do different. And even though these pictures are not in any way amazing, perfect or even half way good, I love them because they remind me of a rather perfect weekend.
Ah, the beauty of Snow Canyon. One of my favorite places in the world.
And this is one of the best shots I got of my son the ENTIRE trip. The boy is over, I tell you, OVER having his picture taken. Here he is with his pal from school.
The blow left picture brought tears to my eyes. My daughter just randomly put her arm around her cousin and showed her the view from the Dixie Rock. Too sweet for words.
My beautiful (inside and out) friend and her son.
My sister and her adorable children. So much love for these guys.
We woke up to hot air balloons and this was taken from our bedroom window. Such an awesome view.
All shot on Portra 400 with 80mm 2.8 on Mamyia 645 Pro TL.
